Sarah Z. Short is an abstract collage artist and letterpress printmaker based in Rhode Island, working with found materials to explore memory, history, and reinvention.

Working primarily with collage and letterpress, vintage book pages, ephemera, and wooden type are hand-printed on a century-old press, where color builds gradually, piece by piece, across the found material. Each composition carries the aesthetic and historical weight of its origins, honoring the past while becoming something new, an invitation to consider what stories objects hold, and what becomes possible when we pay attention to what others have discarded.
